Great post! Also, just wanted to leave a big thank-you to the sponsors on the site for the membership I recently got for a full year. I will take it as a Christmas gift! :)))
arrgh, ich kann das App nicht herunterladen! Android, Samsung Galaxy tablet, in die Schweiz.
Die webseite für die Extension sagt: The extension is not available. Und die Taste ist nicht aktiv.
Really? That’s strange, maybe because I did an update yesterday and that takes a while to be approved by Google. Could you try again?
Unfortunately doesn’t work for me, I’m on chrome on an imac
Could you give me a bit more details about what’s not working? Maybe I can fix it.
Hallo lieber Emanuel!
Frohe Weihnachten.
I downloaded the extension but it’s not working for me in the latest version of Chrome (just updated to be sure). Right-clicking and selecting “Look up in YDG Dictionary” does nothing. So I manually opened the sidebar and clicked on the YDG dictionary, but when I hit Search it says “result.forEach is not a function.”
Argh… I’ll look into it soon and keep you updated.
It looks like perhaps this error only happens when a word is not in the YDG dictionary, for example ausgezeichnete with “e” at the end.
Yeah, that’s it. I already had a version that didn’t do this, but since a few days and changes the error is back again. I’ll fix it soon.
Oops, I didn’t notice that because I only tried looking up two words before giving up! If the error is only when the word is not there, that’s not so bad.
I’m also having the “result.forEach is not a function” error, but it’s not consistent. For example, looking up “Weihnachten” at the end of this post brings up the error, but “Schöne” returns the result completely fine.
Frohe Weinachten, Emanuel!
?Warum benutzen alle Rutsch? Ich habe das nicht früher gehört. YDG Wörterbuch sagt slide?! Rutcht man ins Neue Jahr?
“Guten Rutsch” is what you say before new years to wish people a good transition into the new year. This is for after Christmas :)
Thank you for the nice greeting. The entire Advent Calendar is such a lovely gift. Thank you! I have busy and distracted this year, so I haven’t been able to “play along”, but I look forward to catching up today. Merry Christmas!
I’ll put up the “proper” archive tomorrow, so you don’t have to click through them one by one :). Merry Christmas!!
Frohe Weihnachten Emanuel!
Danke dir :)
Vielen Dank für Ihre ausgezeichnete Website. Ich wünsche Ihnen ein frohes Weihnachten.
Very useful sidebar, but a search on tolle delivers back der Stollen
For adjectives, it’s better to use the base form, so “toll” in this case :)
Supertoll Weihnachtsgeschenk! I was wishing for something like this just the other day!! Vielen Dank, Frohe Weihnachten, und ein glückliches Neues Jahr!
Hallo lieber Emanuel,
Thank you very much! I enjoy very much the advent calendar every year. Happy Holidays for everybody!
Danke!
Danke Emanuel! Der Adventkalendar hat mega gebockt!
Schöne Feiertage wünsche ich dir!
