Frohe Weinachten, ein bisschen spät, und guten rutsch. Vielen danke für die Kalander intensiv, diese Feriensaison, und der Blog während des restlichen Jahres. Ich finde es sehr hilfreich, und unterhaltsam.
“You guys”. You are sounding more and more like you are from my home town, Philadelphia. If you really want to get really native, you should start saying yous.
This “you guys” thing is REALLY prevelant on Youtube.
“Hey guys, I just wanted to tell you guys…”
Even on mostly girls-channels.
I think it might morph into a greeting in a few decades.. .like “heggus” or something. The new English “hello”. And then etymologists will describe that it’s actually a contraction and people will be like “Woahhhh.” :D
Wait, isn’t “yous” African American vernacular?
I share your distaste for “you guys”! I suggest “y’all” or a regional (Pennsylvania) equivalent “youins” (or yinz for short). I think we wrote on this once before… See you next week, next year! And thanks again.
I know y’all but I always felt that was to “Southern” for me. Like, it feels like I’m doing an accent when I write it, whereas “you guys” feels like general American.

Ich habe die Wort- und Phrasenverzeichnis-Website überprüft, die Sie erstellen, und es ist eine sehr gute, glaube ich. Herausragende Arbeit!
Im Moment bin ich mehr Manager als Barkeeper, aber wenn ich Barkeeper bin, dann bin ich eigentlich ziemlich freundlich. Ausser wenn mich die Kellner nerven :).

Instead of “you guys” you can say the plural of “you”, meaning “all”, with the contraction “y’all”.
