“Merry Christmas“
Hallo ihr lieben,
day 24 of our Advent Calendar, the final day, and …
I got nothing.
Seriously, I don’t have a good idea how to finish this Calendar in an epic way, so I’ll just let it fizzle out, as the candles on the Christmas trees light up.
As usual the calendar was a huge stress fest, because I unexpectedly actually ended up working full time at a bar… kind of a hobby, but still it was a lot of hours. Whine, whine, whine.
But it was a lot of fun doing the calender and seeing you interact and I really enjoyed that you guys enjoyed it :) :) :).
Geez, I’m watching too much Youtube. This “You guys” thing really got into my system and I don’t like it.

“You guys”. You are sounding more and more like you are from my home town, Philadelphia. If you really want to get really native, you should start saying yous.
This “you guys” thing is REALLY prevelant on Youtube.
“Hey guys, I just wanted to tell you guys…”
Even on mostly girls-channels.
I think it might morph into a greeting in a few decades.. .like “heggus” or something. The new English “hello”. And then etymologists will describe that it’s actually a contraction and people will be like “Woahhhh.” :D
Wait, isn’t “yous” African American vernacular?
I share your distaste for “you guys”! I suggest “y’all” or a regional (Pennsylvania) equivalent “youins” (or yinz for short). I think we wrote on this once before… See you next week, next year! And thanks again.
I know y’all but I always felt that was to “Southern” for me. Like, it feels like I’m doing an accent when I write it, whereas “you guys” feels like general American.
I forgot… guten Rutsch :)!!!
Frohe Weihnachten and einen Guten Rutsch Manuel.
Happy Christmas! Thanks for all the wonderful German tips this year.
Gerne :)
Thank you!!!!!!!!
Schöne Weihnachten!
Thank you so much for all the effort you put into this. Maybe next year I will be brave enough to type this in German! Was the whine pun intended? :D Wishing you a wonderful Christmas and a relaxing break.
I’ll keep this comment and hold you accountable next year :D
Frohe Weichnachten
Frohe Weinachten!
Looking forward to seeing more from you some time in the New Year when you’ve had a good rest.
Dankeschön….for your ongoing efforts…we appreciate & enjoy it all.
Frohe Weihnachten zu dir

Guten Rutsch!
And thanks to Roger for the video!
De rien, de nada, you’re welcome !!
Keine Ursache (is OK for German?)
I never ever use “keine Ursache” because it’s a bit too formal for my taste. But yeah, it does work.
Frohe Weihnachten un eine gutes neues Jahr!
Frohes ,besinnliches Weihnachten .
Instead of “you guys” you can say the plural of “you”, meaning “all”, with the contraction “y’all”.
Danke noch mal!! Bis 2020! :)

That beat though :D
Was bedeutet “That beat though” ? :-)
Just wanted to say that the instrumental/beat section they put under the song is very not child song-ish. At least not how I remember it from back in the day :D
Frohe Weihnachten ! Danke für deinen Blog.
This was a long good adventure.
Till next week
Two weeks. Make it two weeks!
Okay, but since advent calendar is over. (I forgot to mention this).
I will go back to torture with commenting on old articles ;)
And I shall tell return to telling you that your examples have verb ending mistakes ;)
Ha… take out one “tell” in my sentence XD
