It’s just my attempt to indicate that the word gets all kinds of endings and this entry is for all versions.
– manche
– mancher
– manches
– ….
Hope that helps!
Dear sir,
I would like to know if “Manch” can be followed by a singular or plural and be used in singular and plural form in the same manner of “Einig”.
You can say
or
For “einig-” that doesn’t really work for singular though. Could you give me an example what you had in mind there.
Also: super big apology for the late reply. No idea why I missed this comments.
Manche vs einige – when to use which
In a nutshell, “manche” sounds less than “einige”.
If your focus is on the idea of “minority” then “manche” is the better pick.
That’s helpful! I would love to read something about different words to qualify “some” of a given noun. I find it pretty confusing myself, the different words and which to use… (einige, manche, etwas/etwa, ein paar, ein bisschen…)
Nice idea, I’ll add it to my topic list (no promises though) :)
