is what the guys in this video doing called “drängeln” please?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJuGE54_v18

like the actual moment of pushing someone away with the hand (english shoving) , not not the general scuffling.

Absolutely not.
“drängeln” is slow, involves the whole body and is repetitive, like many “eln” verbs. Think of a person working their way through a full train cart.

okay, “shoving” by itself sounds potentially more agressive than pushing or jostling. maybe “shoving” when used alongside pushing e.g. ” there was lots of pushing and shoving” slightly less so, maybe.

For the example of the train cart i’d probably go for pushing. Shoving if it took on a impatient agression or recklessness.

What are people doing in the video if its not “drängeln” then. Stößen?

These are iconic examples for “schubsen”. “wegstoßen” also fits, especially when harder.
