1. to "feed" a drink (Slowly, carefully feeding someone a drink. The other sense is much more common.)
2. to instill (Same idea as before, but in a figurative sense. Fairly common with basic emotions like fear, disgust, hatred, courage and awe. Not always idiomatic though, so you need to know what works and what doesn't.)
