Dictionary noun Fazit

das Fazit

the conclusion
(For a conclusion in the sense of a summary or outcome, not so much for a the notion of "connecting the dots". Sounds a bit stiff, but it's quite common in a work context, for instance after a meeting. Often combined with the verb "ziehen".)

I am interested in your definition here. Could you expand on what you mean by connecting the dots?

You mean this would be wrong? “after thinking over all the possibities I concluded this would be the wrong to go ahead” . So its not about the process, more about the results?

But these would be correct:

Das Fazit war, das Thomas wurde gekündigt
