I didn’t know where to ask this so it might as well go here.
I was wondering how you might talk about “an account being in credit”? This is when, for example, you pay for more electricty than what you actually use. So if i pay 20 euros more than i use my account is “20 euros in credit”.
I’m asking as I had a Nebenkostenabrechnung a year ago and they said they would send me the money back if i gave them my bank details – i didn’t and i’m wondering how to talk about this?
The word is “das Guthaben”.
Guthaben ! Would never have guessed. Thanks.
