wie geht's?
Mir geht's gut aber ich habe super schlechte Laune. Gestern ist naehmlich die Tastatur an meinem Laptop kaputtgegangen. Um sie zu wechseln, muss man ALLES auseinanderbauen, wenn es ueberhaupt geht.

How are you? I'm doing good but I'm in a super bad mood. Because yesterday my keyboard of my laptop broke. To change it, you have to take apart the ENTIRE thing, if it's even possible.

Jetzt habe ich mir eine externe Tastatur gekauft, aber keine deutsche, weshalb ich keine Umlaute habe. Statt dessen schreibe ich oe, ae und ue.

Die Tastatur ist furchtbar, ich tausche sie morgen um. Und wenn ich wieder in Berlin bin, muss ich mir einen neuen Laptop holen.

Now I bought an external keyboard, but not a German one, which is why I do not have the umlauts. Instead, Im typing oe, ae and ue.
The keyboard is awful, I'll switch it out for another one tomorrow. And once I'm back in Berlin, I'll have to get a new laptop.

Okay, aber jetzt mal zum Thema - diese Woche machen wir endlich mal wieder ein Wort des Tages, und zwar das Wort fremd.

Das ist nicht nur an sich interessant, es hat auch eine sehr ueberraschende Verbindung mit Englisch UND es gibt ein paar echt coole verwandte Woerter wie fremdgehen oder fremdschaemen.

All right, but now on to the topic - this week, we're finally doing a word of the day again, namely the word fremd.
That's not only interesting in itself, it also has a surprising connection to English AND there are a few really cool related words like 'fremdgehen' or 'fremdschaemen'.
