Das ist eine Art "Breaking-Newsletter" denn gestern wurde ein Gesetz verabschiedet, über das wenig bekannt war, das aber einen sehr sehr relevant für Deutschlernende ist.

Die Kurzversion ist, dass es eine Klage gab (u.a. von Rheinmetall), die Kläger haben gewonnen, und um EU-Sanktionen und Strafzahlungen zu vermeiden, musste Deutschland das Genus-System reformieren.

This is a bot of a "breaking newsletter", because yesterday a law was passed that wasn’t widely known about, but that is very, very relevant for learners of German.

The short version is that there was a lawsuit (including by Rheinmetall), the plaintiffs won, and in order to avoid EU sanctions and fines, Germany had to reform the gender system.
