Hallo ihr lieben Deutsch-Fans.

Hier ist wie immer eine kleine Übersicht darüber, was in den letzten Wochen auf YourDailyGerman los war, und was ihr vielleicht verpasst habt.
Viel Spass :)

Here, as usual, a little overview over what was going on on YourDailyGerman over the last weeks and what you might have missed out on.
Enjoy :)

'denn' vs 'weil' - Learning Quiz

We explore the three differences between 'denn' and 'weil' in an interactive quiz format.

And we'll of course practice and apply what we learned right away.

Word of the Day - '(ent)wickeln'

In this vocabulary building lesson, we explore the family of 'wickeln' and why entwickeln means to develop.

And then you can practice the vocab with my reading comprehension trainer.

Practice Noun Gender Game

I made an actual game for learning and practicing noun gender.
If learning with classic cards is too boring for you, you'll really enjoy this.
The most common nouns, important noun rules and many surprises.

Master Adjective Endings - 2 Steps

I explain my simple two step approach to adjective endings. You'll basically get about 70%-80% correct with 20% of the effort.

Relationship in German

We explore the differences and similarities between the two main words for relationship: 'die Beziehung' and 'das Verhältnis'.
Of course again with reading comprehension practice, if you feel like it.

Updates and Upgrades

I have done a LOT of smaller and bigger improvements to the site this past month.
I don't want to bore you with listing them all, but I'll ... uh... I'll list the big ones.

  • Your Comment Archive

You can now see all your comments on one page, filter by date and whether I have replied and also reply back right there. So it's like a chat with me as a teacher, kind of.
As a member, you can find a link to it right on the home screen.

  • Your Notes and Your Bookmarks

I have also completely redone the ugly archives I had for bookmarks and your lesson notes.
If you're a member, you can also find links to those on the home screen now.

Reading Comprehension Practice and Story Generator Upgrade

You can now get translations for each word in a story or text by just clicking on it. And it's translations in context, not just a random dictionary.
This makes it these two tools much more powerful for reading and listening practice.

The Future

I have a child now and AI is changing the business landscape for a site like mine completely, so now I have to something I never really did... SALES :).

My plan is to make YourDailyGerman into a proper home base for your German learning.
Flashcard are coming soon as well as more grammar exercises and tools that let you practice the vocabulary in context.

So instead of using 3 different apps for different things, you can just rely on YourDailyGerman.
