“Fit and Miss”
Hello everyone,
and welcome to day two of the German Learning Advent Calendar. And instead of easing into it, we’ll jump right into the action and get busy with a quiz. One of my favorite quiz types, actually:
Find the Misfit
Here’s how it works:
I give you a few words and one of them doesn’t fit with the others. In older quizzes, I was pretty much exclusively aiming at some grammar aspects, like plural or how the ge-form looks or whether it is a subordinating conjunction or a coordinating conjunction.
Yeah… I know… sounds riveting!
But this time, it’s not as nerdy and I also put some in where you need to translate to see the difference, so you can practice your vocabulary also…ever so slightly :).
I’ll give a quick explanation for each solution, too, but it is definitely possible that there are other solutions and reasons that I didn’t notice.. It’s really hard creating one set of words that really only differs in ONE aspect.
