Ich hoffe euch geht es allen gut! Oder zumindest gut genug!
Wie ihr ja wisst, ist einer der kleinen "Bremshügel" beim Deutschlernen die Tatsache, dass Deutsch oft mehrere verschiedene Wörter für ein Englisches Wort hat. Und oft ist es NICHT egal, welches man benutzt, da alle leicht unterschiedliche Bedeutungen haben.

As you probably know, one of the speed bumps when learning German is the fact that German often has several word for one English word. And often it DOES matter which one you use because all of them have slightly different meanings.

Ein gutes Beispiel dafür ist das Englische Wort "to use". Dafür gibt es ... äh... naja... ich schäme mich fast, es zu sagen... ein halbes Dutzend Übersetzungen: nutzen, benutzen, verwenden und gebrauchen. Und anwenden, und einsetzen auch manchmal.

A good example for that is the English word "to use". For that, there are... er... well... I'm almost ashamed to say it... half a dozen translations: to use, to use, to use and to use. And to use and to use also sometimes (yeah... that was pointless, but I couldn't resist :).

Die drei wichtigsten sind aber nutzen, benutzen und verwenden, und ich bin mir sicher, dass sich viele von euch schon gefragt haben, wann man welches verwendet.
Und genau das gucken wir uns heute an. Und nicht nur das.
Wir gucken uns auch die anderen Wörter in der nutzen-Familie an, und da gibt es auf jeden Fall eins, was nicht so nützlich ist wie ihr denkt ;). (ihr benutzt es zu viel)

And that's exactly what we'll look at today. And not just that.
We'll also look at the other words in the nutzen-family and there's definitely one that is not as useful as you probably think ;) (you're using it too much)
